Lots Going On Around the Neighborhood!

ImageLately there has been so much going on around our community that even we are having a hard time keeping up! It’s so exciting, and we wanted to give all of you an update of what’s going on around the community!

ImageFirst of all, we just finished up our travel. We had an amazing time in Virginia, New Jersey, and New York. All of our Sneak Peek Parties had a great turnout, and we cannot wait to see our friends from out of state here for our upcoming New Property Release Weekend Events!

The tennis courts are coming along great! In only a couple of weeks they will be completely finished for our residents to play on. So who are our tennis experts?? We can’t wait to see you out there enjoying the courts! And for all of you who’ve never played or are beginners, we look forward to joining you, too. Don’t forget to pick up some gear and enjoy the outdoors on the fresh courts!Image

Speaking of enjoying the outdoors, who are our green thumbs? Our Grow It, Post It, Win It contest is still going on, and you can still share your beautiful pictures! You don’t have to wait for your prize rose to bloom, let us see your progress and ideas! Weekly winners are given $25 prizes and one lucky grand prize winner will walk away with $500! Good news to all of you who are beyond excited for golf. We are working towards getting the land laid out and prepared for construction. We’ll have a whole blog post with a golf update for you soon!

Our professional photo shoot went well, and some of the pictures are up on our Facebook page now. Check them out, or take a behind the scenes look at the actual shoot! We had a great time with our model residents and cannot wait to show you all of the beautiful shots that were taken.

Compass Gears Up for its Professional Photoshoot!

As you know, we recently had a casting call for a Compass Pointe photoshoot. We have chosen our resident models and now the fun can begin! On the 14th and 15th we will be conducting our professional photoshoot around the community! So, what’s the plan??

Tuesday:
It’s all about the outdoors! We’re starting the day by having our models enjoy the benefits of living in a golf cart community! Loading up for the pool, driving by talking to neighbors, and residents walking on the wide, beautiful roads, sidewalks, and bridges.

In the afternoon it’ll be all about the Grand Lanai and Resort Oasis. Our models will get decked out for fun in the sun to show off the joys of having a resort-style pool with cabanas and outdoor grilling areas!

 Wednesday:
We’ll be starting the day with some outdoor shots of the neighborhood but then focus more strongly on the gorgeous interiors of our homes and the Grand Lanai!

The afternoon will be about the men, featuring shots of them having a blast in the “man cave” in one of our model homes! We’ll then have our models gather inside the Grand Lanai to show off the awesome grill and bars.

We can’t wait; we know both days are going to be a blast not only for us, but for our resident models!! We’ll be sure to give you a behind-the-scenes look at our photoshoot, and eventually a peek at the finalized shots!

Get Festive This Weekend in the Grand Lanai!

There’s lots of celebratory fun to be had this weekend as Saturday is the 139th Kentucky Derby and Sunday is Cinco de Mayo! What better place to celebrate than our very own Grand Lanai?

The Grand Lanai is open for our residents to use whenever they please! We have multiple large bars, amazing grills, tons of seating, multiple flat screen TVs (including the huge big screen!), and of course, the pool!!

Saturday – The Kentucky Derby:
Come on in and flip the TVs onto the Kentucky Derby! Watch all the exciting updates as the race is counted down to! Make bets with your friends and use the grills to make burgers, hot dogs, and any other delicious foods you have in mind! Lay out by the pool in the afternoon while you wait for all the action. As of right now, Saturday’s forecast is sunny and in the 70s!

Sunday – Cindo de Mayo:
Celebrate Cinco de Mayo like you’re in Cabo San Lucas! Feel free to deck out the lanai with balloons, bring in chips and salsa, mix up some margaritas, prepare tacos, quesadillas, fajitas, and other Mexican dishes, and listen to Mariachi musica! Nothing welcomes Cinco de Mayo like our palm trees, cabanas, and luxury swimming pool. Spend the day on a “Mexican vacation” with your friends, family, and neighbors. Chance of rain? That won’t stop you from having a tropical blast inside the lanai!

Our Bags Are Packed and We’re Coming to YOU!

Our travel slowed for a while, but here at Compass Pointe we are ready to be on the move again! We are thrilled to announce that we will be traveling through May for our Sneak Peek Parties to spread the word about our New Property Release Weekends in June!

So, where will we be? Virginia, New Jersey, and New York! Needless to say, we’re excited. Here’s our route:

WANTED: Model Residents for Compass Photoshoot!

CASTING CALL:
With so many exciting things happening here at Compass Pointe lately, we are eager to share what makes this such a great place to live: friends, fun, and beautiful homes! Do you want to help? We are looking for smiling, happy, non-camera-shy residents to participate in a professional photoshoot! 

THE DETAILS:
We will be selecting 6 to 10 residents to take part in the photoshoot, which will be conducted around Compass Pointe on May 14, 15, and 16 (rain date).

Photos will be candid in nature, and will depict all things Compass: residents enjoying the amenities, nature, friends, and the coastal lifestyle we all love so much.

To qualify entrants MUST be availably for participation various times during the three-day shoot. Once models are selected, a detailed participation schedule will be provided.

 TIMELINE:
Entries are being accepted now through May 1st, 2013.

To enter, submit your photo to BeFamous@CompassPointeNC.com.

Model selection and notification will take place May 3rd.

Don’t be shy! We can’t wait to see your photo submissions – we would pick all of you if we could!

SPRING CONTEST: Grow It, Post It, Win It!

Spring is here! That means it’s gardening time! Snap a picture and share it to compete for great prizes! We are looking for everything from your gardening containers, vegetables, flower gardens, water gardens, and all things spring and anything that goes into the garden! Even garden decorations can be entered!

One grand-prize winner will receive a $500 gift certificate to the gardening center of his or her choice and the winning photo will appear in the next Compass Pointe newsletter!

Eight weekly winners will each receive a $25 gift certificate. Weekly winners will be announced each Monday at 10:00am.

Contest deadline: June 15, 2013.

  • Click on the “Grow It, Post It, Win It!” Facebook app located next to our photos and likes.
  • Follow the guidelines on the app to upload your photo.

  • Create a “Compass Pointe Garden Contest” board and repin our contest announcement pin located on the Compass Pointe “Win $500 Garden Contest” board. Then post at least 3 images of your own garden progress or ideas, all tagged with #CompassPointeNC #Garden
  • To submit your board, leave a comment with a link to your board on the contest announcement pin located in the “Compass Pointe Garden Ideas” board.

RULES:

1. Gardens entered for competition must be located within contestant’s garden.
2. Contest Deadline: June 15, 2013.
3. Gardens must be maintained by home gardeners for individual entries.
4. Individual gardens owned or maintained by Compass Pointe employees are not eligible for competition.
5. Decision of the judges is Final. Judges will score posts based on Overall Aesthetic (60%) and Creativity (40%).
6. Winners will be notified by email and/or social channels.
7. Winners’ names and garden photos may be used by Compass Pointe newsletters, email news, website and other publications. Home addresses will not be published.
